How to Log In, Restart, and Log Out Your Bot

You can manage your bot's login status two ways: through the MoonBots HUD in Second Life or through the MoonBots website. Both do the same thing, so use whichever is easier for you!

Using the MoonBots HUD

Before you can use the login controls, you need to make sure the right bot is selected on your HUD.

Select your bot:

1. Click the circle at the top of the HUD to open the bot selection menu.
2. Click My Bots to select a bot you own, or Manager Bots to select a bot you have permission to access.
3. Choose your bot from the list.
4. Click the Advanced button to open the advanced controls.

You will see three buttons at the bottom of the Advanced panel: Log In, Restart, and Logout.

Log In

The Log In button brings your bot online in Second Life.

Use this when your bot is offline, and you want to log it back in.

After clicking Log In, give it a few minutes. The bot needs time to fully load its appearance and Upsies! settings before everything looks right.

Restart

The Restart button logs the bot out and back in again automatically.

Use this when your bot is already online, but something seems off, like it is not responding, acting stuck, or not picking up changes you made.

A full restart can take up to 3 minutes, so give it a little time before checking on it.

Logout

The Logout button takes your bot offline.

Use this when you want to log the bot out of Second Life. It will stay offline until you log it back in using the Log In button.

Using the MoonBots Website

You can do the same things from the MoonBots website, which is handy if you are not in-world.

1. Go to your bot's management page on the MoonBots website.
2. In the My Moonbot Account section on the right side of the page, you will see these options:
3. Login to log the bot into Second Life
4. Restart Bot to restart the bot
5. Login / logout options depending on the bot's current status

The same rules apply: logging in takes a few minutes to fully load, and a restart can take up to 3 minutes to complete.
