Gifting Upsies! to Your Child

How to send an Upsies! HUD to a child using Lindens or Store Credit

Upsies! must be worn by the child, not the parent, so the HUD needs to be gifted directly to the child's avatar rather than added to your own inventory. This guide covers both ways to send it: paying with Lindens, and paying with Store Credit.

Before You Start

Make sure you have the child's exact Second Life username on hand before you begin.

Method 1: Gifting with Lindens

Use this method to pay for the child's Upsies! HUD directly with L$ at the vendor.

1. Click the Upsies! vendor to open the purchase menu.
2. Select Gift from the menu options.

1. A text box will appear asking for the username or UUID of the recipient. Type the child's exact username.
2. Click Submit.

1. The vendor will look up the username and display the matching avatar name and UUID. Double check that this is the correct child before continuing.
2. Click Okay to confirm the recipient.

1. Pay the vendor the listed price when the Second Life payment window opens.
2. Once payment is complete, the Upsies! HUD will be delivered straight to the child's inventory.

Method 2: Gifting with Store Credit

If you have Store Credit on your account, you can use it to gift Upsies! to a child instead of paying with L$.

1. Click the Upsies! vendor to open the purchase menu.
2. Select Use Credit from the menu options.

1. The vendor will display your current Store Credit balance.
2. Select Gift with CR to send the item using credit rather than to yourself.

1. A text box will appear asking for the username of the recipient. Type the child's exact username and click Submit.
2. The vendor will check that you have enough credit and then deliver the Upsies! HUD to the child's inventory automatically.

Important

Always confirm the recipient's name and UUID shown by the vendor before paying. Gifts sent to the wrong avatar cannot be recovered or refunded.
